October 5, Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, Director of Core Academy International College of Science and Humanities, and Acting Dean of the Core Research Institute; Dr. Wu Jiarui, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of Core Academy International College of Science and Humanities. A delegation from the laboratory paid a return visit to the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, where they were warmly welcomed by the Academy’s President, Isa Habibbayli. Dr. Lei Li and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation agreement, paving the way for a comprehensive partnership.
Dean Isa Habibelli stated that, President of Azerbaijan Alyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping are currently paying close attention to the development of China-Azerbaijan relations, and the two sides have already established a strategic partnership. The cooperation between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the China-Russia Joint Laboratory is in line with the trends of our times and will contribute to the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Dr. Lei Li expressed his agreement with Dean Isa Habibbayli’s views and briefed the dean on the laboratory’s latest R&D activities and achievements. Both sides unanimously agreed to deepen their cooperation in scientific research and project applications in the fields of new electrical materials and new-energy equipment.
The laboratory delegation was invited to attend. of Azerbaijan Institute of Physics attended an academic conference and visited the laboratories of the School of Physics, gaining a deeper understanding of the school’s research areas and achievements. Dr. Lei Li extended an invitation to the School of Physics to participate in the Belt and Road “Silk Road University Alliance” initiative.
This visit to Afghanistan by the laboratory, grounded in the framework of the Belt and Road international cooperation, has opened up new avenues for the laboratory’s external collaborations. It represents a crucial strategic move to strengthen the laboratory’s role as an international cooperation platform and carries profound significance.
