On October 7, Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, a member of the Board of Directors of Core Academy International College of Science and Humanities, and Acting Director of the Core Research Institute, along with Dr. Wu Jiarui, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of Core Academy International College of Science and Humanities, paid a visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of the host country. National Academy of Sciences Institute of Cultural Studies, Center for Asian Cultural Studies And the Central Science Library.
At the Center for Asian Cultural Studies, Director Badirzhan Akhmadov warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the Institute of Culture. Director Badirzhan Akhmadov primarily researches the cultural ties between Azerbaijan and China and has authored several books on this topic. At the Central Scientific Library, the director enthusiastically introduced the delegation to the library’s collections. The ancient parchment scrolls and gilded treasures left the delegation deeply impressed, offering a glimpse into Azerbaijan’s long-standing history and the people’s profound appreciation for culture.
Through the visit and tour, the delegation gained an in-depth understanding of Azerbaijan’s history, culture, and ethnic characteristics. Dr. Lei Li stated that both China and Azerbaijan boast long histories and rich cultural traditions, and the friendship between the two peoples has deep historical roots. He expressed hope that the laboratory delegation’s visit would strengthen cultural and academic exchanges between the two sides.
