On July 1, 2024, Dr. Olga Dzerleeva, the technical leader in the field of thermo-electrochemical oxidation at the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, arrived in China and was invited to attend the 15th Academic Conference on Oral Implantology organized by the Oral Implantology Professional Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association, held in Suzhou on July 3. The paper co-authored by Dr. Dzerleeva, “Research on Surface Treatment Technologies for Enhancing Bone Integration and Antibacterial Properties of Titanium Alloy Dental Implants,” was selected for inclusion in the conference proceedings and was presented as a poster at the event. During the conference, Dr. Dzerleeva engaged in an in-depth discussion with experts in the field of oral implantology regarding the research and development of implant coatings.
During her stay in China, Dr. Olga not only exchanged ideas and worked with the laboratory’s R&D personnel but also visited several domestic universities, where she discussed research on protective multifunctional ceramic coatings for titanium alloys, thermal corrosion, and hydrogen embrittlement resistance with professors specializing in materials science.
Since the advent of micro-arc oxidation technology, Dr. Olga has been engaged in research in this field. She is a senior researcher at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and boasts nearly five decades of professional experience, making her a world-class expert in this technology.
