At 9 a.m. on January 28, the 2022 Kunshan Spring Tea Party and the award ceremony for the 27th batch of Kunshan Friends “Bingdi Lian Award” were grandly held at the Jinling Hotel in Kunshan. Zhou Wei, Secretary of the Kunshan Municipal Party Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Representatives from various sectors—including retired officials of Kunshan, medical personnel who fought against the epidemic, model workers, representatives of democratic parties, representatives of Taiwan-invested enterprises, and private entrepreneurs—participated in the gathering. Six representatives, including Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory and General Manager of Siberia Electric Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., were honored with the 27th batch of Kunshan Friends “Bingdi Lian Award.” The awards were presented by Chen Liyan, Deputy Secretary of the Kunshan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor.

The 2022 New Year Tea Party, hosted by the Kunshan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Kunshan Municipal People's Government, brought together outstanding representatives from all sectors of Kunshan, effectively fostering dialogue and exchange among people from various fields and industries. Introduction to the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory
The Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory was jointly established through an agreement among Xi'an Jiaotong University, Novosibirsk State University, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and other institutions. Grounded in international technological cooperation, the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory is dedicated to overcoming key common technical challenges in fundamental materials, breaking through bottlenecks in both the underlying technologies and application-oriented technologies of basic materials, and focusing on addressing “bottleneck” technologies that are critical to national strategic interests. The laboratory is particularly focused on research into surface ceramic coating technologies for lightweight metallic materials and their applications, striving to achieve import substitution for advanced functional ceramic materials and composite insulating materials. To date, the laboratory has accumulated a series of significant scientific research achievements. Moving forward, it will further deepen its exploration of material surface treatment technologies and expand its research scope to include alloy material bulk design technologies, ultra-precise material processing, and manufacturing technologies. The R&D team of the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory is led by academicians from both China and Russia, and comprises numerous professors, doctoral researchers, and experts in related fields. Leveraging its robust, internationally oriented research capabilities, the laboratory is actively promoting the industrialization of its research outcomes.
The Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory is established by Xi’an Jiaotong University, Novosibirsk State University, and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Based on international technical cooperation, the laboratory is committed to overcoming key common technical problems of basic materials and breaking through the underlying technology of basic materials. It aims to break through technical bottlenecks and focus on solving the “stuck-neck” technical challenges that are critical to national strategy. The laboratory will concentrate on research into surface ceramic treatment technologies and their applications for light metals, striving to achieve breakthroughs in realizing the import substitution of advanced functional ceramic materials and composite insulating materials. At present, a series of significant scientific research results have been accumulated. Meanwhile, the laboratory will continue to delve deeper into material surface treatment technologies and expand its research scope to include alloy material body design technologies, as well as ultra-precision material processing and manufacturing technologies. The laboratory’s R&D team is led by Chinese and Russian academicians, comprising a diverse group of professors and experts from related fields. Relying on a strong international scientific network, the team is dedicated to accelerating the industrialization of its research findings.
