As the hour of Chou gives way to the hour of Yin, a thousand-mile tapestry unfolds; with the ox galloping and the tiger roaring, springtime spreads across the nine provinces! The 2021 year-end summary and awards ceremony for the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory and Siberian Electric Machinery Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was held on January 24 at the Kunshan Huaqiao International Innovation Port. The team from Novosibirsk, Russia, participated online.
The year-end summary meeting began with summary reports from the heads of various departments and R&D teams, followed by an online interactive session between the Chinese and Russian sides. Ms. Chen Yanan, Assistant to the General Manager of the company, then delivered a keynote speech. The second part of the meeting honored the outstanding employees of 2021. Finally, Mr. Zheng Huating, Chairman of the company, and Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory, gave their New Year’s addresses.
Summary Report
Heads of various departments and R&D teams summarized their achievements and shortcomings for 2021, and clearly defined the key priorities and goals for 2022.
In 2021, thanks to the joint efforts of teams from both China and Russia, the team’s size grew rapidly, and its R&D capabilities continued to strengthen. In 2021, the team filed 30 new patent applications, including 19 invention patents, and was granted 2 new invention patents (as of the end of 2021, the team held a total of 52 intellectual property rights, of which 21 had been authorized and 5 PCT international patent applications had been filed). In 2021, the laboratory team received numerous honors, including provincial and municipal-level expert studios and recognition as a provincial private technology enterprise. Dr. Lei Li was awarded the “27th Batch” Kunshan Friend Lotus Award by Kunshan City.
Some experts, professors, and engineers from the Novosibirsk Laboratory in Russia sent New Year greetings to the Chinese team.
Mr. Viktor and Dr. Olga, along with other Russian experts, presented a report on the 2021 work and R&D achievements of the Russian laboratory. Afterwards, the Russian experts and engineers engaged in real-time interactive sessions with their Chinese colleagues and extended New Year greetings to the Chinese team.
Ms. Chen Yanan delivered an insightful and engaging keynote presentation on team assessment and analysis.
Recognize outstanding individuals
To recognize outstanding achievements and inspire all employees, the company honored individuals who attained remarkable results in various tasks throughout 2021. A total of eight outstanding employees and department heads from the Sino-Russian team were recognized.

Mr. Zheng Huating, Chairman of the company, encouraged the team to remain humble and patient, keep up their efforts, and continue achieving outstanding results!
Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the laboratory, expressed gratitude for the great era that has given us the opportunity to strive and innovate.
