On the afternoon of July 28, the China-Russia (Zhuji) International Laboratory welcomed a group of energetic visitors. Teachers and students from the “Shen Yang Book Society,” a well-known student organization at Xi'an Jiaotong University, joined the summer practice team and visited the China-Russia (Zhuji) International Laboratory, embarking on a scientific exploration journey filled with critical thinking and passion.
In the exhibition hall on the first floor of the laboratory, members of the Shen Yang Book Society’s practice team closely examined the lab’s innovative achievements in fields such as new materials and new-energy equipment, and engaged in lively discussions with the researchers about technical details and application prospects.
“What are the components of ceramic insulation coatings?” “In which fields can ceramic-insulated aluminum electromagnetic wires be used?” “How can the preparation process for superconducting materials be optimized?” The students’ questions not only demonstrated their professional depth but also reflected their interdisciplinary perspective. During the tour, members of the book club proactively engaged with the lab’s researchers, discussing technical details. The atmosphere at the scene was lively, and sparks of scientific insight ignited in the course of these conversations.

About the “Shen Yang Book Society” at Xi’an Jiaotong University
The “Shen Yang Book Society” of Xi’an Jiaotong University is one of the university’s long-established and widely influential student organizations. Founded on October 13, 1994, the society was initiated by four students—Shen Zhijiang, Yang Hao, Shen Xiaohua, and Yang Bo—from the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, hence its name “Shen Yang.” Guided by the motto “Cultivate oneself through reading and serve the country through practice,” the society currently boasts a collection of several thousand books and over 800 members. Its activities include reading salons, lectures by renowned scholars, and sunny book fairs, all aimed at fostering a vibrant humanities atmosphere on campus and enhancing students’ overall quality. The society regularly organizes various events such as book-sharing sessions, lectures by distinguished experts, and social practice activities.
