On the morning of February 2, 2023, Wang Tao, member of the Standing Committee of the Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, along with a delegation, visited the Sino-Russian (Zhuji) International Laboratory to learn about the progress of scientific and technological innovation. They were accompanied by Chen Wenjin, Vice Mayor of Zhuji City, and Yang Huafeng, Director of the Zhuji City Bureau of Science and Technology. Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the laboratory, led the R&D team in welcoming the delegation.

Dr. Lei Li provided Vice Mayor Wang Tao with a detailed introduction to the laboratory’s development history, academic resources, industrial implementation plans, as well as its latest research achievements and market application prospects. The delegation conducted an in-depth study of the principles, application areas, potential applications, and outcomes of TECO technology and CNT technology. Currently, the laboratory’s products and technologies have been put into a series of pilot applications and collaborative R&D efforts in fields such as corona-resistant electromagnetic wires, new traction motors for high-speed railways, specialized power equipment, innovative electric tools, and enhanced friction pairs for internal combustion engines. Moreover, the laboratory is actively developing a proprietary intelligent manufacturing system based on TECO technology. It is particularly worth noting that the application of TECO technology has successfully addressed the issue of corona resistance in domestically produced electromagnetic wires, thereby breaking through foreign restrictions on China’s industrial materials.

During the调研, Vice Mayor Wang Tao expressed his appreciation for the research achievements made by the laboratory and expressed his hope that in the future, the laboratory would continue to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation with Russian universities together with the government, thereby establishing a “enterprise-university-government” triple-helix model and attracting more high-tech talents to Zhuji.
