To thoroughly implement the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 27th Meeting of the Central Commission for Comprehensively Deepening Reform—“We must organically integrate government, market, and society, clearly identify key areas of focus and breakthroughs in core technologies, and prioritize research and development of critical technologies that provide us with a first-mover advantage as well as foundational and cutting-edge technologies that will lead future development”—the Sibiri Electric Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., the industrialization entity of the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, recently signed an online agreement with the People’s Government of Urumqi City for the “80,000-ton/year Green High-Tech Metal-Based Ceramic Composite New Materials Project” at the 7th China-Eurasia Expo.

 

To thoroughly implement the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 27th Meeting of the Central Commission for Comprehensively Deepening Reform—“We must organically integrate government, market, and society, clearly identify key areas of focus and breakthroughs in core technologies, and prioritize research and development of critical technologies that provide us with a first-mover advantage as well as foundational and cutting-edge technologies that will lead future development”—the Sibiri Electric Motor Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., the industrialization entity of the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, recently signed an online agreement with the People’s Government of Urumqi City on the “80,000-ton/year Green High-Tech Metal-Based Ceramic Composite New Materials Project” at the 7th China-Eurasia Expo.

The successful signing of this project marks an important step forward for the China-Russia Joint Laboratory in translating its scientific research achievements into industrial applications. The key foundational material technologies that have been meticulously developed over many years will, through this project, achieve significant breakthroughs in replacing imported new materials. This project will closely rely on government support, market forces, and societal collaboration, fully leveraging Xinjiang’s abundant aluminum-based resources and its rich wind and solar energy potential to establish a demonstration base for strategic emerging industries in new materials, as well as a pilot test base for advanced energy materials technology (including a new-type wind power generation experimental project). It will also facilitate the industrialization of innovative new-energy material technologies, creating a three-in-one integrated model of “laboratory + industrialization base + pilot wind farm.” This will further promote the laboratory’s efforts to tackle critical core technologies, implement national strategies, address international challenges, and serve the green, dual-carbon economy.

 

 

On September 20, the 7th China-Eurasia Expo—“Promotion Conference on Accelerating the Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt Core Area and Signing Ceremony for Key Projects in Urumqi”—was held online. A total of 62 projects were signed, with a total contract value of 153.655 billion yuan. These projects span a variety of sectors, including equipment manufacturing, new materials, wind and photovoltaic power, textiles and apparel, biopharmaceuticals, commerce and logistics, real estate, and agriculture, animal husbandry, and aquaculture.
