Industrialization Process
The China-Russia Joint Laboratory was initiated by Dr. Lei Li.
Jointly established by renowned Chinese and Russian universities and research institutions, including Xi'an Jiaotong University, Novosibirsk State University, the Shanghai Research Institute of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The laboratory was officially signed in April 2016 and officially inaugurated in September 2019.
A high-level research team has been established, led by academicians, spearheaded by experts, and primarily composed of young talents holding master’s and doctoral degrees.
Appoint Academician Zhang Di, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Chen Qingquan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (Chinese side), and Academician Alexander Pavlenko of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russian side) as chairpersons of the Academic Committee.
Professor Wang Jianhua, former Party Secretary of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Director of the National Key Laboratory of Electrical Materials and Electrical Insulation, has been appointed as the Director of the laboratory.
Professor Wang Weidong from the China Academy of Railway Sciences has been appointed as Chief Scientist (full-time).
