Monthly Meeting and Quarterly Key Work Promotion Conference
On March 8, the China-Russia Joint Laboratory held its monthly meeting as well as a quarterly meeting to advance key tasks. Attending the meeting were Zheng Huating, Chairman of the Laboratory’s Board of Directors; Professor Wang Weidong, Chief Scientist of the Laboratory; heads of the Laboratory’s business divisions; directors of R&D centers from both the Chinese and Russian sides; young doctoral researchers; and representatives from relevant departments. The Russian laboratory participated remotely online.
At the meeting, heads of various departments within the laboratory reported on the quarterly progress of key R&D projects and industrialization efforts, based on the priority tasks assigned to each business unit and the R&D center for 2025. They also outlined the next steps for work objectives and development directions, and engaged in discussions around specific measures aimed at promoting the industrialization and commercialization of scientific and technological innovations. Dr. Wang Lianke, head of the Electrical Materials Business Unit, delivered a comprehensive report covering the department’s overall planning, analysis of potential projects, and team management—his presentation received high praise from Chairman Zheng Huating and Professor Wang Weidong, as well as enthusiastic approval from his colleagues.
The laboratory’s recent restructuring, establishing independent business units for the two areas of electrical materials and power equipment, marks its commitment to “focus on goal-oriented and results-driven approaches.” The lab has emphasized that “the ultimate test of technological value lies in the marketplace.” Moving forward, the lab will remain firmly centered on market-driven demands, concentrate on high-quality R&D, vigorously promote industrialization and practical implementation, and build high-quality science and technology innovation projects that lead industry development.
