The laboratory has launched a collaborative industry-academia-research project with the School of Electrical Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology.

On August 3, Dr. Lei Li, Executive Director of the China-Russia Joint Laboratory, led the R&D team to visit the team led by Secretary Wu Xiaojie from the School of Electrical Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology, where they held the launch ceremony for the industry-academia-research project titled “Development and Implementation of High-Quality, Lightweight, High-Temperature-Resistant Magnetoresistive Motor Technology Based on Ceramic Electromagnetic Wires.”

Secretary Wu Xiaojie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology, provided a thorough yet accessible background analysis of the entire project. She expressed high hopes for the development and implementation of high-reliability, structurally simple switched-reluctance motors, which will drive the laboratory’s core technology—the development of high-temperature-resistant, lightweight ceramic electromagnetic wire technology. Professor Fu Dongshan from the School of Electrical Engineering delivered a detailed report on the project’s overall progress, key challenges, and market prospects. Laboratory experts in motor technology engaged in extensive technical discussions and shared insights into critical issues encountered during the project, drawing on their more than 30 years of experience in motor development.

Dr. Lei Li discussed with teachers from the University of Mining and Technology the technical and economic feasibility as well as key industrialization issues related to project development and implementation. Both sides expressed firm confidence and high hopes for jointly advancing the practical application of industry-academia-research collaboration.
